Toward a democracy of translations? Local evaluation actor networks in Finnish early childhood education

This article examines the local evaluation and assessment practices of Finnish early childhood education care (ECEC) based on Actor–Network Theory (ANT). We employ concept translation to discuss how unfold in networks actors come together negotiations contestations that seek orient these networks. ANT approaches society as being formed directs attention non-human actors, such technical material resources. In this article, we are by translations connecting different actors. three cases which various tools were used locally ECEC. The results highlight arbitrariness elasticity process. Thus, introduce democracy examine flexibility extent can re-negotiate re-orient taking place.
